I've been trying to find new ways to get my kids to eat their veggies. They do pretty well at meal times but I thought it would be nice to get more veggies in for snacks. THRIVE Freeze Dried Vegetables are great for snacking because you can eat them straight from the can. But I wanted to spice things up a bit So I came up with this simple "recipe" that you can modify to your tastes. My 3 year old loves these.
Seasoned Freeze Dried Peas
THRIVE Peas or Organic Peas
THRIVE Parmesan Cheese
Olive Oil (or your favorite oil)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Put THRIVE Parmesan Cheese in a blender or food processor and pulse until it is a powder.
Put desired amount of Peas in a bowl.
Drizzle and coat with oil (Not too much. You don't want them to get soggy, just enough to help things stick.)
Add desired amount of cheese (and seasonings).
Stir to coat evenly.
Pour out evenly on a baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes, but keep an eye on it the first time to see how long it takes for you.
***You could using seasonings like salt and pepper, garlic or onion powder, lemon or lime powder, ranch dressing mix, Italian dressing mix, taco seasoning, etc.
***You could also try using Asparagus, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Corn, Green Beans, or Zucchini or any combination that you like.
